In this live online Workshop, participants will be introduced to materials, basic brushstrokes and techniques used for painting grasses, flowers, trees and mountains.

Sumi-e uses the fewest possible brushstrokes to capture the essence of the subject being painted. It is a beautiful and expressive art form.

Two new In-Person Japanese Black Ink Painting Workshops on in Ireland this July are now open for booking. The first is a One-Day Workshop at the Brú Ború Cultural Centre  beside the historic Rock of Cashel in Co. Tipperary on Saturday the 8th of July, and a Half-Day Workshop at the South Tipperary Arts Centre in Clonmel on Saturday the 15th of July. In these Workshops for Beginners, participants will learn brushstrokes and techniques for painting grasses, flowers, trees and mountains.
