Two New Live Online Japanese Black Ink Painting Workshop Dates for November 2025

Sumi-e is the Japanese word for the Art of Black Ink Painting.

Introductory Half-Day live online Workshop (3rd November 2025)

In this Workshop, participants will be introduced to the Art of Black Ink Painting and will learn about materials, basic brushstrokes and techniques used for painting grasses, flowers, trees and mountains. (Suitable for Beginners or as a review/refresher for those who have previously attended.)

Sumi-e (Follow-On) Half-Day live online Workshop (5th November 2025) 

This live online Half-Day Sumi-e Workshop is available to those who have previously taken one of our 'Introduction to Japanese Black Ink Painting' workshops or classes. We will continue on with brushstroke practise and techniques for painting grasses, flowers, trees and mountains.

Book 3rd November Intro Workshop (for beginners)

Book 5th November Follow-On Sumi-e Workshop  (new follow-on Workshop for those who have already taken the Introductory Workshop)

Times: 10am - 1pm

Details:

• Includes list of recommended basic beginner’s art materials.
• These live online Workshops consist of four 40-minute segments with a 5-minute break between each segment.
• The Workshop session invitations will be emailed to participants one hour prior to the Workshops.
