Sumi-e for Beginners Enrolment Window Opens 7th-14th May 2021

Try something relaxing, creative and inspiring! The window for enrolment will open from the 7th May through midnight on the 14th of May for new Members for the Japanese Black Ink Painting for Beginners Online Program at www.karencolbert.ie. Sumi-e is the Art of Black Ink Painting. Learn brushstrokes and techniques for painting grasses, flowers, trees, mountains and landscapes in this online blended learning program for beginners (adults). Japanese Black Ink Painting (Sumi-e) is a unique art form using only black ink, handmade paper and a special brush. It is a calming and relaxing activity.

This blended learning program involves live group learning online sessions including guidance and feedback to improve personal progress, access to pre-recorded instructional videos that people can watch in their own time as well as a monthly online zoom cafe (where people can meet up for tea and a chat and, if they’d like, show their paintings) and a private members art community area where members can keep in touch.

There are many different ways to engage with this online blended learning program, and each subscriber can decide on their own way to engage with the learning to suit their own needs, level of experience and availability.

Membership subscription for the May 2021 enrolment period: Choice of €20.00/monthly subscription or €200.00/yearly subscription (with 12 months for the price of ten – equivalent to €16.67/month).
